Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pink dragon fruit chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen banana slices
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or other milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt optional, for creaminess and protein
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries sliced kiwi, granola, shredded coconut, extra chia seeds, sliced dragon fruit

Method

  1. Prepare your dragon fruit by cutting it in half, scooping out the flesh, and freezing it in chunks. Slice and freeze ripe bananas as well.
  2. In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen dragon fruit chunks, frozen banana slices, almond milk, Greek yogurt (if using), and chia seeds.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is thick and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Add a splash more almond milk if it's too thick to blend, but be careful not to make it too runny.
  4. Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl.
  5. Decorate your smoothie bowl with your favorite toppings. Arrange fresh berries, kiwi slices, a sprinkle of granola, shredded coconut, and a few extra chia seeds or dragon fruit pieces for a beautiful presentation.
